Welcome back 😊, Did you catch a grip of you? Well, this is the bit where I want to point us back to the first love who’s Christ Jesus and shade light on the possibility of becoming clean before Him 😊.
The enemy doesn’t want God’s children (you inclusive 🤗) to be free. He delights in having you locked up in emotional, physical and spiritual slavery. The devil would rather have us bound by greed, pride, anger, un forgiveness, fornication, adultery and the like; rather than being totally free.
The fact that I have been there and come out better is proof enough that you can as well. The question though is; are you willing? Are you tired of dealing 🤷?
So 2018 began and my mother invited me to accompany her to a certain church for an overnight service.While there, I couldn’t help but wonder why she wanted for me to go with her to that place of worship. The place was filled with all kinds of people from all walks of life (leave alone our twenty first century churches). When it got to the preaching 🙆, I felt like I was literally being nailed to the chair.This preaching was far from the usual gospel of faith, prosperity and the blessing; the kind my ears were accustomed to hearing.
When the preacher got to talk about sin, my heart raced with so much conviction and I felt like I was being hung before the entire congregation. They read Galatians 5:19 where the works of the flesh are highlighted. Don’t let me lose you here 😄. The bombshell is dropped when the preacher continued;”Some of you are still fornicating. You know, fornication is not only sex outside marriage. It can be those touchy episodes the boy and girl involved get when their feelings are aroused. It can even be day dreaming about a guy/girl you’re attracted to.” I hope you’re still seated firmly 💺.
At that point, I realized I was similar to an individual that had never confessed Christ Jesus as Lord over their life. I therefore recommitted my life afresh and resolved to practice righteousness and walk blameless before Him. I had to forgive, not only myself but also my perpetrators and exes. I didn’t know what healing was like because I never really gave myself the time I needed to nurse my broken heart. Has the journey of forgiveness been a bed of roses? No, it hasn’t. But today, I confidently say that I’ve made progress.

Looking over my life and at all the relational escapades I got involved in, there’s not one that really added to me spiritually, physically and emotionally. Like some relationship experts say, I and the guys were just two people on heat 🤣🤣🤣.
How am I doing today 😀? I’d say I’m at a much better place emotionally. I am unashamed of the gospel and intentional about my relationship with Christ Jesus. Do I still fall short? Of course 😆; y’all are not reading from an Angel but a girl that has been saved by grace 😇.
Dear One;
i. To you procrastinating on committing your life to Jesus or barely knows who He is. Heaven and Hell are REAL. There’s more fulfillment in choosing to place your life in God’s hands. It will not be an easy pass; but the grace is sufficient. We are all prone to stumbling and falling; but the distinction here’s-there’s an assurance of you receiving forgiveness when you return to your Heavenly Father’s throne in repentance [1 John 1:9].
ii. Because just I was, there are a whole lot of us still battling with stuff; traits and addictions which when brought to light, you’d probably wish for the ultimatum of being swallowed up by the ground. If that’s you love, know this: you are not too far gone for God to redeem you. God is BIGGER than how far you’ve fallen and the complexity of the works [Galatians 5:19] that have for so long had you bound.
iii. John 8:32; “and you will know the truth and the truth you free.” Sin is sin; there’s no shortcut and measure to it. Therefore, repent [and get right with God] for the kingdom of God is at handMatthew 3:2, Matthew 4:17.
iv. 2 Corinthians 13:5; “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” We are living in an era where the gospel of the end times is being preached. It’s time to get back to the drawing board and prepare yourself; for no one knows the hour of The Lord’s return.
